Pip is a cheerful family assistant that lives in your family's own private family chat. Everyone gets their own Pip: ask it for a reminder (for you or for someone else), chore reminders and what's yours to do, or what's on this week. Pip reads the family calendar and the noticeboard, and can send each person a short what's on today each morning. Children can chat with Pip too. If a child's chat touches something worrying, Pip points them to help and tells every grown-up straight away, and you choose, child by child, whether grown-ups see summaries or full conversations. Pip thinks with the AI you choose: sign in with your ChatGPT plan, or use an OpenRouter or Anthropic API key. Pip comes as a family bundle with Family Chat (a private, encrypted chat that runs Matrix, an open chat standard), Baikal for the family calendar and Donetick for chores, all wired together. ElfHosted runs, updates and backs it all up. Pip is built on Hermes Agent, an open source AI agent by Nous Research. Family Chat isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Matrix.org Foundation.
