PeerTube takes a lot of running: a database, video processing, and storage that fills up fast. With hosted PeerTube, ElfHosted runs all of it for you, keeps it updated version after version, and gives it a secure address on your own subdomain, which is what federation needs. PeerTube needs one setting on first start, and the docs walk you through it. What is PeerTube? A free, open-source video hosting platform from the PeerTube project, made by Framasoft, for your own videos, whether that's a club, a school, a family or a creator. Upload your videos and each one is prepared in several sizes so it plays smoothly on a phone or a big screen. PeerTube is fediverse video: people can follow your channel from Mastodon and other ActivityPub services, and new uploads reach them there. Add captions, give each member their own channel, and moderate the comments yourself. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. Start with a 7-day trial. PeerTube is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the PeerTube project. You can support PeerTube through the link below.
