<description>Shoko is an anime library manager: it matches your anime files against AniDB so seasons, specials and films show up right in your media server. Run Shoko with ElfHosted, and there's no laptop to keep awake. Shoko runs around the clock on our side, so the slow first scan finishes while you sleep, and later scans only check what's new. It sits on the same storage as your ElfHosted media server, so the files Shoko matches are the files your media server plays. We keep it updated, and it's backed up daily, with restores you can do yourself. What is Shoko? An anime library manager that fingerprints each anime file and matches it against AniDB, the database built for anime. Seasons, specials, films and long multi-arc series land where they belong, and the Shoko plugin for Jellyfin or Emby, or the Shoko agent for Plex, shows the corrected details in the player you already use. You'll need a free AniDB account, and you install the plugin in your media server once. Start with a 7-day trial. Stuck? Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs, tells you what's wrong and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. Unlike a generic chatbot, he doesn't guess. And the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server: one place for support for every app you run with us, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Shoko is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the Shoko project. ElfHosted hosts applications; we don't provide content.
