What is Donetick? A family chore tracker on every phone

Donetick is a chore tracker for the whole household. Hosted on ElfHosted, it's on every family phone, with no server at home to keep running. Run Donetick with ElfHosted, and the chore list stays up: we run it for you and keep it updated, and there's no server at home for a power cut or a new router to take down. It has a secure address of its own, so everyone adds it to their phone's home screen and ticks chores off from anywhere, not just the home wifi. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. What is Donetick? An open-source chore tracker from the Donetick project, built for families and households. Type a chore the way you'd say it, like "bins out every Monday at 7pm", and it works out the schedule, the recurrence and whose turn it is next. Points keep score of who's pulling their weight, and an NFC tag on the fridge marks a chore done with one tap, which makes it a family chore app the kids can't argue with. Hosted Donetick is part of the ElfHosted Flex collection: a Flex plan runs several apps from the collection at once, and you swap which ones whenever you like. Every Flex plan starts with a 7-day trial. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. Stuck? Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks you before fixing it. If Sam can't help, our team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. Donetick is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the Donetick project. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project.
