<description>HortusFox is a plant care tracker for the whole household. Hosted on ElfHosted, the plants, photos and watering are on every phone, with one login. With hosted HortusFox on ElfHosted, the household's plant care tracker is always there: we keep it running around the clock and updated, with nothing to install. The database is set up and looked after, and a year of plant photos survives every update. It has its own secure address, so you can tick off the watering on your phone, out in the garden, and you sign in with your ElfHosted login while HortusFox sets up your account for you. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. If you'd like a real person, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. What is HortusFox? An open-source plant care tracker from developer Daniel Brendel. Catalogue every plant by room, shelf or garden, add photos and care notes, and see which watering and care jobs are due, like a watering reminder everyone shares. Everyone sees the same jobs and who did the watering last, and each plant builds up a photo history. HortusFox is part of the ElfHosted Flex collection: a Flex plan runs several apps from the collection at once, and you swap which ones whenever you like. Every Flex plan starts with a 7-day trial. HortusFox is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the project. You can support its developer through the link below.
