What is Remux? A Jellyfin-compatible media server for your apps

Remux is a Jellyfin-compatible media server: the Jellyfin apps you already use connect to it from anywhere, with an account each, playing your own sources. Run Remux with ElfHosted: it lives on our servers, right beside your ElfHosted storage, so the folders you already keep with us plug straight in as sources, alongside your WebDAV shares and addon sources. It has its own secure address, so everyone signs in from their own Jellyfin app, on any screen, from anywhere, with no home server to keep plugged in and no ports to open. What is Remux? A Jellyfin-compatible media server: it speaks the Jellyfin API, so the Jellyfin apps you already use on the telly, phone and web connect to it. Everyone gets a real account with their own watch history and Continue Watching row, and per-person exclusions give each account its own view of the same sources. Remux is the work of lostb1t and the Remux project, a brilliant tool built for tinkerers. Hosted Remux is direct play only, so pick formats your device plays (browsers want H.264), and the ElfHosted build has no torrent or peer-to-peer support at all. ElfHosted runs it and keeps it updated; you bring your own sources, and ElfHosted does not provide content. Try it for seven days. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. Stuck? Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks you before fixing it. ElfHosted is not affiliated with the Remux project. When Sam can't help, real people from our team are on Discord around the clock, in a carefully moderated server. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it.
