What is ArchiveBox? Save web pages before they disappear

ArchiveBox is a web archive for the pages you care about. It saves a PDF, a screenshot and a copy of each, so a dead link never costs you the page. Run ArchiveBox with ElfHosted, and your web archive has a secure address of its own, so it opens on your phone or laptop wherever you are, with no computer left on at home. We keep it running and updated. Web archives grow fast, so your snapshots go to cloud storage you connect, and the archive can grow as large as that storage allows. ArchiveBox itself is the work of the ArchiveBox project. What is ArchiveBox? A personal web archive, for anyone who wants to save web pages they never want to lose to link rot: research, recipes, receipts, references and school projects. Give it a link and it saves permanent snapshots of the page: a PDF, a full-page screenshot, the HTML and a WARC web archive, with full-text search across all of it. Add links one at a time, in bulk, or import your browser bookmarks and history. Only you can see what you save, and sending pages to public archives stays off unless you turn it on. Hosted ArchiveBox is new to ElfHosted and in early access. Start with a 7-day trial. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. If something looks wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. If Sam can't help, our team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. ArchiveBox is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the ArchiveBox project. You can support the project through the link below. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it.
