<description>A family Minecraft server with parental controls: Robin ends the whitelist wars with Minecraft for Families, a bedtime and a let-them-in button. Part four of The Family Realm. The Minecraft whitelist has become a war: one child with a PC account and a tablet account, Barry stuck at the door for an hour, and bedtime enforced by yelling up the stairs every school night. Robin is the bouncer, the referee and the alarm clock, and he still has a day job. So Robin brings the world across to Minecraft for Families on ElfHosted. The parent panel shows who's playing and for how long, today and across the week. The server ships locked to the people you name, and anyone turned away shows up in the panel with a button to let them in. Bedtime has school-night and weekend hours: a warning in the game, then the world closes for everyone at once. That's parental controls for a Minecraft server for kids, without the yelling. The world stays up day and night at a fixed address friends save once, backed up daily with restores you can do yourself, with Java and Bedrock players together (Minecraft crossplay: Geyser and Floodgate, installed for you) and nothing opened on your home network. When the family moves to ElfHosted, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, is Robin's sidekick: tuned on our apps and the way we run them, he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. When Sam can't help, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. Start with a 7-day trial. Paper, Geyser and Floodgate are open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, the Paper project or GeyserMC. Each player needs their own copy of the game. The Family Realm is a short animated saga from ElfHosted about one family's Minecraft world: from random public servers to a server at home, and on to a family world that runs itself. Each part stands on its own; watch them in order in the playlist on our channel.
