<description>Minecraft for Families is an always on Minecraft server with parental controls: see who's playing, for how long, and set a bedtime. Minecraft server hosting from ElfHosted, built for families: the world keeps running day and night, backed up daily with restores you can do yourself, with no PC left on at home and nothing opened on your home network. The server runs Paper, from the Paper project, and every server comes with a private parent panel that ElfHosted built, by parents who run one at home. Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, sends a push alert if the server goes down (once you've said yes to its alerts), tells you why, and restarts it with your OK. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. What is Minecraft for Families? A family Minecraft server with parental controls. See who's playing and for how long, today and across the week, and set a bedtime with different hours for school nights and weekends. Players get a warning in the game, then the world closes for everyone at once. The panel never reads your children's chat: it shows who's on and for how long. Only the people you name can join, and Geyser and Floodgate are installed for you, so tablet, console and computer players join the same world. Each player needs their own copy of the game. Start with a 7-day trial. Paper, Geyser and Floodgate are open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, the Paper project or GeyserMC. The server image comes from itzg, who you can sponsor on GitHub. When Sam can't help, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, and the server is family-friendly and carefully moderated. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project.
