<description>Hosted Emby on ElfHosted: your Emby Server runs in our data centre, off your home connection, with its own secure address and speed test. Run Emby with ElfHosted and your Emby Server lives in our data centre instead of a spare-room computer, so it isn't squeezing through your home connection. We keep it running and updated, and it has its own secure address for the Emby apps on the telly, phone and browser. Wondering whose internet is the problem? Your hosted Emby has its own speed test page at its address, so anyone can check their end. What is Emby? A media server for your own films, home videos and music, with Emby apps for the telly, phone and browser. Emby needs an Emby Premiere subscription for remote use, which you buy from Emby directly; ElfHosted doesn't resell it. Hardware transcoding (Intel QuickSync) is available with Emby Premiere, as a fallback for devices that can't play a file directly. ElfHosted hosts applications; we don't provide content. A media server is for your own media: home videos, things you own and have backed up, public domain and Creative Commons recordings. Pick Emby as the media server in an ElfHosted Personal Media Stack, or, if you already run a stack with us, add Emby Standalone beside the media server you have: it reads the same library. Both start with a 7-day trial. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. When you'd rather talk to a person, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, across time zones, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Emby is a product of Emby LLC; ElfHosted is not affiliated with Emby.
