<description>How to mount your own cloud storage with rclone on ElfHosted: set up a remote in Rclone UI, and every app can see it. To mount your own cloud storage, open Rclone UI from your ElfHosted apps dashboard. At the login, any username and password gets you in. First, set a bandwidth limit from the Rclone UI dashboard: it's recommended, so your transfers don't slow things down for everyone else. Then create a new config: give the remote a sensible name (it becomes the folder), choose your provider type, and enter its details. Rclone UI opens the Explorer. Type the remote's name and click Open: if you can see your files, the rclone mount is working; if not, go back to Configs and fix it. ElfHosted then mounts every remote you set up at /storage/rclone/ and its name, where all your apps can see it. Point your media server's library at that folder, and it scans your files right where they are. If you change a remote's settings later, you may need to restart Rclone UI from ElfBot. Rclone UI comes with ElfHosted's personal media stacks, so you can bring your own storage to your apps. The full steps for ElfHosted rclone are in the docs. rclone is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the rclone project. Remote still won't open? Real people from the ElfHosted team are on Discord around the clock, in a carefully moderated, family-friendly server.
