Hosted Mealie puts the recipes and shopping list on every phone, with AI included. What is Mealie? A recipe manager and meal planner: paste a link to a recipe and it saves a clean copy, with ingredients, steps and photos, then plan the week on a calendar and let it suggest a meal by tag. On ElfHosted, Mealie has a secure address of its own, so the shopping list is on everyone's phone at the shop and the recipe is on the kitchen tablet. It sits on your ElfHosted dashboard beside your other apps under one login, and the AI included with your plan can tidy ingredients or turn pasted text into a recipe, with no key to find. With hosted Mealie, we run it for you, keep it updated, and keep it private behind your ElfHosted login. Mealie is part of the ElfHosted Flex collection: a Flex plan runs several apps from the collection at once, and you swap which ones whenever you like. Every Flex plan starts with a 7-day trial. It's backed up daily, and you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. Mealie is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the project. Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, sends a push alert if Mealie goes down (once you've said yes to its alerts), tells you why, and restarts it with your OK. And when Sam can't help, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. It's one place for support for every app you run with us, handled by professionals, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it.
