<description>Running an AI agent at home: the little computer gets unplugged, a reinstall wipes its memory, and the API key lands on Robin's card. Part three of The Always-On Assistant. Running an AI agent at home was lovely for a week. Then Milo needed the plug for his tablet, and the seven o'clock morning brief never came. Robin is on the early train and can't reach it from there. After an update, Robin reinstalls it at midnight, and the agent forgets all it knew about the family. Darren's API key runs dry, so the next one is on Robin's card, and nobody knows what the API costs of a busy week will be. And the door Darren opened on the router so Robin could check it from work: who else can knock on it? Robin can fix every one of these on his home server. Each fix costs an evening, and the always-on AI agent was meant to save him time. The Always-On Assistant is a short animated saga from ElfHosted about one family's AI agent: from an overflowing family inbox to an agent on a little computer in the study, and on to an assistant that runs itself. Each part stands on its own; watch them in order in the playlist on our channel. When the family moves to ElfHosted, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, is Robin's sidekick: tuned on our apps and the way we run them, he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. When Sam can't help, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server.
