<description>Hermes Agent, hosted: Robin moves the family's AI assistant out of the study, so the morning brief fires on time and nothing runs at home. Part four of The Always-On Assistant. Three Mondays running, no morning brief: the little computer in the study is asleep, forgetful or out of credit. Maya says the assistant shouldn't need an assistant. So Robin sets up Hermes Agent with ElfHosted. Hosted Hermes Agent runs around the clock, so its scheduler fires on time, and its memory and skills survive restarts and upgrades. It sits behind your ElfHosted login with no second password, and the AI is included on an allowance that suits everyday use; heavy or long-running agent work goes through it faster, and you can add your own provider whenever you like. It joins your Family Chat, and reaches you on Telegram, Discord, Email, WhatsApp, Signal and iMessage. Telegram and Discord take a token; WhatsApp needs a one-time pairing, and the team on Discord walks you through it. Then Sam restarts Hermes on Robin's OK, and a minute later his always-on AI agent says hello as a WhatsApp AI assistant. It's kept updated and backed up daily, with restores you can do yourself, and nothing is left running in the study. Hermes Agent is open source, from Nous Research; ElfHosted is not affiliated with Nous Research. Start with a 7-day trial. When the family moves to ElfHosted, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, is Robin's sidekick: tuned on our apps and the way we run them, he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. When Sam can't help, the ElfHosted team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server. The Always-On Assistant is a short animated saga from ElfHosted about one family's AI agent: from an overflowing family inbox to an agent on a little computer in the study, and on to an assistant that runs itself. Each part stands on its own; watch them in order in the playlist on our channel.
