Personal Media Stacks: hosted Plex, Jellyfin or Emby tiers

A Personal Media Stack is your own hosted media server (Plex, Jellyfin or Emby) with library tools, already connected. Here's how the tiers differ. A Personal Media Stack is a media server for your personal collection, running around the clock without hardware at home. You pick hosted Plex, hosted Jellyfin or Emby, with library tools that keep your collection organised, and it all arrives connected and ready to use. You bring your own storage accounts; ElfHosted runs the apps, not your library, so you never pay us for terabytes. The tiers differ in how many screens play at once and in the hardware underneath. Starter is the entry tier on shared hardware. Hobbit plays two 4K or four HD screens at once, Ranger four 4K or eight HD, and Halfling eight 4K or sixteen HD, all on semi-dedicated hardware, with a slice of CPU and memory reserved for your stack. Nazgul matches Halfling's size on dedicated hardware that's yours alone, with 4K transcoding. To pick, count the screens that play at once. Hobbit starts with a 7-day trial, and moving up to a bigger tier later keeps your setup. Already running a stack? The Plex add-on puts a second media server beside it, reading the same library on the same tier (bring your own Plex Pass). Plex, Jellyfin and Emby are made by their own teams; ElfHosted is not affiliated with them, and ElfHosted hosts applications, not content. Every app is backed up daily, with self-service restores. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them. If you'd rather ask a person, our team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server: one place for support for every app you run with us.
