<description>Gotify is a push notification server: your apps and scripts send one message, and the Gotify Android app pings. Hosted on ElfHosted, it stays connected. Hosted Gotify on ElfHosted keeps your phone connected: the certificate renews itself, on an address that never changes, so the Android app reconnects by itself and your message history survives every restart. Your other ElfHosted apps, like Uptime Kuma, send their notifications to it inside your stack, and any script that can post to an address can send to it too. We keep it running and updated, and it's backed up daily, so you can restore it yourself whenever you need to. What is Gotify? An open-source push notification server from the Gotify project. Each app or script gets its own token and posts a message; the official Gotify Android app, or the web page, shows it straight away. Gotify has its own login rather than ElfHosted single sign-on, so the Android app can reach it: change the starting password first, as the docs explain. There's no official iPhone app. ntfy, which we also host, and Pushover are brilliant tools for the same job. If something goes wrong, Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, checks your actual apps, tells you what's wrong, and asks before fixing it. Unlike a generic chatbot, which guesses and overcomplicates, Sam is tuned on these apps and the way we run them: he safely reads your actual logs and proposes a fix, and nothing changes until you approve it. If you'd rather ask a person, our team is on Discord around the clock, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server: one place for support for every app you run with us, instead of a GitHub issue, docs that may be out of date, or yet another Discord per project. Gotify is part of the ElfHosted Flex collection: a Flex plan runs several apps from the collection at once, you swap which ones whenever you like, and every Flex plan starts with a 7-day trial. Gotify is open source; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the Gotify project.
