<description>Engram is a spaced-repetition flashcards app: each card comes back just before you'd forget it. Hosted Engram sends the review reminders for you. With hosted Engram, ElfHosted runs the Engram project's flashcards app for you: we keep it online and updated, give it its own secure address behind your ElfHosted login, send the review reminder emails, and back up your decks every day, with restores you can do yourself. What is Engram? An open-source flashcards app built on spaced repetition. Rate each card as you review it, and Engram works out when to show it again, so a few minutes a day sticks, whether that's a language, exam revision or times tables. Cards can be fill-in-the-gap, typed answers, multiple choice and more, with pictures and audio. Everyone gets their own account, a shared deck keeps each person's own progress, and an AI assistant can turn your notes into a deck through Engram's MCP server. Looking for an Anki alternative the whole household can share? Anki is a brilliant tool for your own devices; Engram is a web app for the family, and it can't import Anki decks. Engram is new to ElfHosted and in early access. It's part of the ElfHosted Flex collection: a Flex plan runs several apps from the collection at once, and you swap which ones whenever you like. Every Flex plan starts with a 7-day trial. Engram is open source, built by the Engram project and its community; ElfHosted is not affiliated with the Engram project. Sam, ElfHosted's AI helper, sends a push alert if Engram goes down (once you've said yes to its alerts), tells you why, and restarts it with your OK. When Sam can't help, a person from our team is on Discord day and night, in a family-friendly, carefully moderated server.
